How We Vet Our Therapists
1. Application review
Every therapist begins by submitting a detailed application through Ruuby, setting out their qualifications, professional experience and specialisms. This gives us a clear picture of their background before we go any further.
2. Qualification verification
We verify each therapist's credentials and certifications, confirming they're properly qualified in the treatments they offer. No one is taken at their word — qualifications are checked.
3. Experience assessment
We evaluate each therapist's work history, client feedback and professional achievements, looking for a proven track record of delivering high-quality treatments to a high standard.
4. Background checks
We carry out thorough background checks, verifying valid professional insurance and, in the UK, an up-to-date DBS certificate. This is a non-negotiable part of the process and central to keeping our clients safe.
5. Interview and trade test
Every candidate sits a comprehensive interview and completes a practical trade test — a hands-on demonstration of their work. This is where we confirm that a therapist's skill in person matches their experience on paper, and that their treatments meet Ruuby's five-star standard.
6. Onboarding
Once approved, therapists are onboarded onto the platform, with training on Ruuby's policies, standards and the way we work. By the time a therapist takes their first booking, they're fully aligned with what a five-star Ruuby experience should feel like.
7. Ongoing performance monitoring
Vetting doesn't stop at onboarding. We continuously monitor every therapist's performance through client feedback, ratings and reviews, so the standard is maintained at every appointment — not just the first. Therapists who consistently deliver exceptional service progress through our Classic, Elite and Celebrity tiers.
The result
A network of vetted, insured, qualified professionals you can trust in your space — delivering the consistency, professionalism and discretion of a five-star salon, every time you book.
